Long Road to Texas
Packaged in a bag, boxed in white, my 360 is sitting in a UPS Store right now, awaiting its long trip to Texas. After months and months of glitches and freezing during the middle of a frag fest, my 360 has joined the countless deaths of soldiers in the Microsoft (MS) war against failing xbox 360s. I try not to be too down on MS, but I admit that I have accused them of knowingly releasing a bad product to gain market edge on Sony.
I am not as mad at MS as I am about the following:
- I only had 4 days of Halo3 Beta before my 360 died. I doubt it will return to me before it is over.
- I had vacation time I had to use before I lost it, the 360 dying, ruined my day time plans to lose all concept of time by taking out other players with the Spartan Laser.
- I have no DVD player. So I found out the truth about Comcast. You are not comcastic at all Comcast. You are really REALLY lame. Especially your On Demand selections.
- The UPS guy that dropped off the empty box knew it was for my 360, stating he sees a LOT of them everyday. When I dropped it off at the UPS store, the guy at the counter knew it was a 360 before I even approached the counter, he sees a LOT of them as well.
- The xbox 360 is the only gaming platform that has crashed and burned on me out of 22 years of owning game consoles. My Atari 2600 still works like a charm (granted, it isn’t as sophisticated as the 360).
Oh well, that’s what I get for getting rid of my old xbox. Now I dream about my 360 arriving back to me before next Tuesday night games, black, instead of white.
