I started to write this post to defend Vista, to say I’ve never run into any problems that people seem to think Vista is all about.  I wanted to talk in depth about the only bump in the road I’ve run into is having to buy a Vista compatible printer.  But maybe it was the Seinfeld and Gates commercials that made no sense, turning me off from my fleeting thought of turning into a fanboy.  I can’t stand Jerry’s voice or face; without David Larry he’s got nada.  Seriously, Seinfeld is completely played out. What up Bill? Thought you were done.

Next try, the Mojave experiment commercial, ouch. It looks like a horribly produced youtube video that ripped off the Pizza Hut commercials where they tricked people into eating their shitty looking bacon mac and cheese like it was 4 star fresh pasta. I’m thinking if Vista is so cool, maybe actually talk about it, show it or do something that actually relates to the product.  Maybe make some good stings that expose the Mac weaknesses.

Oooh, but you tried and couldn’t come up with much in the way of a response. The new commercial isn’t any better.  Thank you very much Microsoft for pointing out the obvious. I get the distinct feeling that you think I am so stupid to believe that the Mac commercial seriously pulled the wool over my eyes, causing me to believe that PC users are ALL pudgy-glass-wearing-pocket-protector-high-water-pants-wearing-nerds who don’t know enough about their product to defend themselves against a Mac user.  It is such a relief to be straightened out on that because I was starting to have an identity crisis. What I love best about your new commercial is that it was produced on a Mac.

Alright already!!! Stop hiding Palin away, fearing that our beloved press will rip her to shreds.  To me, you are making it clear that there are things to hide, that she needs to be protected because the party hadn’t thought through the choice for VP very clearly.  Why be ashamed or fearful of what she might say??  She is supposed to be a loving conservative christian, PTA card holding mother, anit-choice, NRA card holding candidate who you are attempting to present as the right wholesome choice for VP.  If this is truly the case, then there should be no need to keep her away from the press.  As with any previous candidates running for the top public offices, everything about these individuals becomes fair game and I am disappointed that you are being sexist and pretentious by expecting the press to treat her any differently than any previous candidates up for question.  I don’t believe that privacy is a right when running for such a high office. What she tries to keep private and what you seem to be trying to hide has a direct impact on her decisions that will affect millions.  With such a divided country where possibly half of the U.S. will go under-represented, it is not fair to take your ball and go home if you don’t like the way the game is played.

Definitely, I understand that you don’t like the fact that things you hoped to keep quiet have already made headlines, tainting the image you hoped to create.  This is inevitable no matter how long you protect her so the longer you hold out, the more intense the line of questioning will be when she is finally prepped for interviews.  Do the right thing, properly inform the voters on this unknown wild card.  Stop expecting the press to “be nice” when contradictory information exist that shrouds your candidate in controversy in comparison to what you’d like the public to think about her persona. I want to know the facts from her own mouth about the position she take on the issues instead of the assumed press I am left to read due to your intentional silence.  She isn’t as wholesome as you want us to think and the stories that are surfacing leave me with a grave concern for the possibility of this country continuing its downward spiral for the next 4 to 8 years.  Set the record straight and let her face the music.
